|Name:||Ripley. (That's it. Just Ripley.)|
- Hamlet, Act III, scene ii
TO THY REST
His ID says his name is Ripley -- just Ripley -- and that he's 28 years old. He lives in a small but neatly kept studio apartment, although the address is tough to recall and tends to smudge easily when written down. He's polite to his neighbors and turns in decent numbers at the small insurance agency that employs him. His coworkers think he has OCD. His favorite song is "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, and he likes cats.
What his ID doesn't say is that he has no fingerprints. He keeps a small retractable razor with an accessible trigger sewn into the lining of his favorite black leather duster. Perpetually in the pockets are a pair of black gloves, a discreet bottle of sedative chemicals wrapped in a soft cloth, and a pair of sunglasses that make him feel like David Caruso. Every once in a while he goes out in the middle of the night and murders someone for the explicit purpose of collecting the debt they agreed to pay when they sold their soul to the Devil.
Ripley is a reaper, and he's very good at his job.
